Exhibeo stpooing css menu workiing on iPhone

Hi All.

I’m having some trouble with Exhibeo, specifically the Showtime theme. Is seems to be conflicting with the css menu and stopping any of the links from working but only on the iPhone (i’ve not been able to check on other phones), it works perfectly on iMac & iPad. All the other links on the page work fine.

The only way I can navigate away from this page is to either delete the page extension from the URL and refresh back to the home page or click on a non css page link (either the calendar link or the contact us link at the top right of the page)

As always, any help is very much appreciated.

Cheers. Steve

Obviously I can’t spell - the thread should read ‘stopping’ not ‘stpooing’

Doh!!

Mot sure how you have constructed this - was it based on a template?

But I think that you will have to move navigation-wrapper and make it a direct child of section-header and then your z-index tweak might work for you.

But without seeing the FW page construction it is difficult to tell.

Hi David,

I’ve not used a template - it’s an inline/box model construct. I had a bit of trouble getting the Exhibeo to work in the first place - trying to place it as an inline item, but eventually figured it out - absolute positioning (I think that’s right - correct me if I’m wrong as I’m still learning).

Thanks for the advice, I’ll def give it a try and post an update on how I get on - just can’t get why it’d only be a problem on the iphone though.

Cheers

Steve

Finally got around to trying your suggestion David but no luck - still getting the same problem.

Have you updated the online page because I am not seeing the change.

I think that you will have to move navigation-wrapper and make it a direct child of section-header

Hi David,

I’ve put together a duplicate test page: http://www.coopersedge.gloucs.sch.uk/testpage.html
I’ve created a new section-subheader and placed the item nav as a direct child of that.

Still getting the same result.

Yes but it isn’t a direct child of the main section-header. It is now a child of section-subheader

But that may be irrelevant anyway.

I would suggest that you drop a line to support(a)softpress.com as I am struggling without the FW file.

Hi David,

I figured the hierarchy of section-header & section-subheader was the same so the result would be the same?

I’ve now made it a direct child of the section-header and it is still getting the same result.

Thanks for looking David - I’ll try contacting softpress and see if they can shed any light.

Cheers

I think it is more to do with the relative relationship between the Navigation and the Exhibeo Div - just trying to get them as far apart as possible.

An update…My issue is now all sorted thanks to now using an iFrame.

I did encounter another issue however;
I renamed the Exhibeo item #exhibeo-gallery and it stopped functioning properly but when I renamed it back to #item1 (as it was named by default) it all works perfectly.

If anyoune can explain why this happened I’d be grateful.

Thanks

Steve

Unfortunately, hyphens aren’t supported for item names at present.
