Oh-oh. I was moving along just fine with my Exhibio slideshow at the top. Then I added two images on the page that open to videos using ScriptyLightbox 3. It took me a while to realize this, but now the slideshow won’t play. Is there a known conflict between Exhibio and this terrific scripty action?
If so, do I have a similar option for replacing ScriptyLightBox 3?
Okay. I’ll give it a try. I don’t know where all those scripts are coming from. Haven’t done anything fancy, really. It’s just that the SL3 is the last thing I added and that’s when the slideshow stopped working.
Softpress suggested maybe trying SL2 as well. Flummoxed and I have just a few days left to show off a draft before I build the internal pages out.
Could you try removing the “-” between exhibeo and slideshow in your Exhibeo item’s ID. I think that’s causing the problem.

Joe! You’re brilliant!!! That seems to have done the trick. I don’t get a faded-back screen when the ScriptyLightBox 3 plays behind the pop-up video itself, but that I can live with.
Oh, my goodness, Joe. I can’t thank you enough. I was really beginning to move into panic mode. Seriously. (And whoever would’ve thought that tiny change to the item ID would matter? I don’t know how you guys figure this stuff out.)
I spoke too soon, Joe, and this is weird: It all plays brilliantly when I view it in Safari from my local machine. I thought that meant it was good to go. But when I uploaded everything – which this time meant it reuploaded the entire site – and then viewed it directly on laurabelgrave.com the slideshow once again doesn’t play.
Any more advice? Why would it work with local testing but not then the real deal?
I got it in the end. I got rid of everything associated with the Exhibio slideshow I had created (except for the images) and then did the whole slideshow over. I made a point of excluding hyphens in any of the naming conventions.
Also, this time I used a standard fade instead of the glide. Uploaded and voila! It’s once again working.
It’s maddening how long this stuff can take to resolve. Who’d a thunk it, eh?
I’m not sure how it messed things up, either — or if it did. However, removing that hypen per Joe’s suggestion and then simply rebuilding from scratch did the trick. Either that, or for some reason is what the particular slideshow theme I had originally picked because using the standard fade improved performance as well.
