Exploding grouped graphic

I started designing a mirror mount with Intaglio 3.0. The design
included a spring which I drew using rounded rectangles carefully
grouped. When I opened the file again, I found that the spring had
literally exploded with all of the parts spread around the page. I
tried it again with the same result. The graphic will also explode
if copied from one drawing to another. How can this be avoided.
Before and after screen shots are available for anyone who is
interested.

Are you using version 3.0 or version 3.0.1? There’s a bug in version 3.0 that misplaces arcs that have been scaled then moved. Since a round rectangle is basically just four arcs this could easily be your problem.

Nick,

I installed 3.0.1 and that corrected the problem.

Thanks.
