[Express] Actions? Where?

I’m trying to do a simple rollover action, and I’ve followed the tutorials…but when I select Actions under the Item menu, I only get 3options: fieldset, form item label and text link style…nothing else.

I DID upgrade from 5.something to 5.5. When I try and install the actions, I can’t seem to find them. Is there somewhere I can get the actions from softpress or something??

Any suggestions?? THANKS!

Hi Jim, how are you. Command option A or go to “window” you need to be able to see the actions palette, agreed freeway is not intuitive here at this point. But you do not need to download anything, just yet, many actions are contained within Freeways software.

Also make certain that you have the potential rollover boxes selected before you go to the menus.

Ask away if you get stuck on this one. Hope I have understood you correctly

Just to add to that from Chris

Many Actions are context sensitive ie certain actions are only available to certain items.

If you have a graphic box selected then the available actions in Item>Actions are different to those available when you have an HTML item selected.

Also some actions have to be placed on the page using Insert>Action Item

And others apply on a Page or Folder basis eg with nothing selected on the page Page>Page Actions

And with your Site Folder selected in the Site Pane (LHS of screen) Page>Folder Actions

So is possible that you are not selecting the item that you want to apply the Rollover to or that it is not a Graphic item?

Ok, RTFM, I know… :wink:

You guys are the best! It was indeed NOT a graphic I was trying to use rollover on (thanks Chris) and Dave was correct that the available actions will differ based on what type of content you’re using.

I tried it using a graphic and the rollover command was there!!

Next time I’m in Glasgow or West Ireland, the next pint is on me!!
