I want to use a Google Calendar in my web site, what do i do to get the iframe code into my FW web site please? i can’t fnd anything about this in the documentation.
If you know the URL of the page that is supposed to go into the iframe, then you can just use the iframe Action to place it in your layout. For example, if Google or an example of code somewhere tells you to paste in something like the following:
Then all you would do is copy the URL part (the content of the src attribute) and paste it into the URL field in the iframe Action.

Click somewhere blank on your page, and then click on the Action tool in the toolbar to expose the list of drawable Actions. Choose iFrame from the list. Click and drag on your page to draw a rectangle where you want the iframe to appear. Use the Actions palette to configure the iframe (src, borders, etc.).

Hi,
I hope this is not a really stupid question but were do i find the iframe Action please?
The Action item in the Toolbar shows nothing when i click on it, it will allow me to draw a box but nothing to say that it is an iframe Action, is this because i am in Express and running in Trial mode.
It is because you don’t have the Actions palette open. Main menu: Window / Actions will open it.
Important note: all Trial versions of Softpress products are 100% the same as the regularly-licensed versions in every way except for the time bomb strapped to their virtual chests.

OK I have the Windows> Actions Selected and i also have the View>Action Names Selected. There is now an open window titled Actions, but it is empty. The Actions icon in the Toolbar shows a list of Actions but there is nothing in this list that is connected with iframe

See the part in quotes, right after the src= part? Copy only that code – the URL inside the quotes – in its entirety. Click on your iframe object on the page and look in the Actions palette. Click on the URL picker and choose Other. In the resulting Hyperlink dialog, click on External and paste the URL into the field provided. Okay out of the dialog, and preview. You should see the calendar appear in the iframe. The only thing that could be holding this back from working is if the calendar isn’t published as a public calendar. Click on the little down-caret menu to the right of your calendar name in the left sidebar of the Google Calendar site and choose Share this Calendar. Make the proper choices there, save your changes, and then you should be able to show your calendar to the world like this.

The other thing i have noticed is that someone else is posting a similar issue on this Forum, see HTML Snippets and Markup… this person is also an ex iWeb user as i am and we seem to be missing the HTNL Snippets option in iWeb.
OK, Thanks, i hadn’t noticed that, i think it something to do with my google calendar settings having another Calendar open that i had from another google account… not sure how that works …however… here is my correct code
First, are you expecting anything to appear in Freeway’s design view? Try looking at this in the Preview mode, which is actually compiling the design into HTML and running it through WebKit. Or preview in a browser. I just tested your calendar URL, and it worked just fine. I don’t have Express, but I know for a fact that there’s no difference between it and Pro in this area.

I have tired viewing it in the Preview and in Safari, in Preview if get a blank screen when i scroll the page down to where it should be then the only way back up to the top of the screen is to go back to page and select Preview again. In Safari i get an outline of a bow on the screen but no Calendar
once again this is what i am pasting into the URl field:
Has this anything to do with the size of the Calendar being imported in? I have an iFrame of over 800px by 800px and according to Google the standard setting is 800 X 600
