[Express] Imported graphic too small

I have created a jpg file with text content in Photoshop. I wish to use it in Freeway as one of a stack of target images. But when I use File/Import the image appears onscreen at a fraction of the size, even though the Inspector gives the expected dimensions.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Double-click the image, and click Resample in the dialog that appears. That should fix it.

Hope that helps.

Of course, I may be wrong. Right-click on the image and choose from the Graphic sub-menu. I think Scale & Pad might be what you’re looking for. Then do the Resample routine to clean the image up.

(It’s the weekend. I’m not awake yet.)

Many thanks Heather. The second suggestion worked. Have you any idea why the problem occurred?

What resolution was your original PS file?

If it was quite large then FW will display it smaller in FW. Check the Ignore Resolution box when importing.

Hello David. The jpg file was the same as other files I have been using: 600 x 450 and around 65 k. The other files behaved perfectly. Never mind, perhaps it was just a glitch!

Yes but what resolution. 300ppi/150ppi/72ppi - that is the critical factor.

Hi DeltaDave.

You’re right, there is a different. The standard file is 100 ppi, the text file 72 ppi. Enough to cause the problem?

Cheers,
Paul

Enough to cause the difference - so if importing higher resolution images then Tick the Ignore Resolution Checkbox.
