[Express] Not able to get Facebook Recommendations Button action to work

Every time that I have ever tried to make use of the Facebook Recommendations button/box, I’ve not been able to get it to work.

Can’t figure this one out. Any ideas?

TIA,

Robert

In what way does it not work for you - I can see the recommend box and it tells me there are none for me but I am not logged in.

BTW FB is evil!

I have a couple FB accounts and browsers. No matter which account I use as I am logged in, I am not able to use the button. I have tried this for several websites over the last couple months and I have never gotten one to work.

Yes, I agree that FB can be very evil, but it also can be very useful for small businesses. I make custom FB Biz apps, QR Codes, Landing Pages and the like and some businesses are really seeing a pick up in business once implemented.

Thanks,

R

Hi Rgator,

The Facebook Recommendations Action isn’t a button. It lists all the historical recommendations made on your site through things such as Like buttons. Since there have been no recommendations on your site yet, you’re just seeing the default text:

“No recommendations for this website yet.
Put some Like buttons on your website to engage your users. Details can be found here.”

To see some recommendations, add some Facebook Like Button Action to your pages and get people to click on them.

I hope this helps,

Joe

Oh!!! I misunderstood the function of the box! I thought I could put that up so people could recommend a particular product or page.

Thanks for your help,

Robert
