I’m trying to set up a Paypal button with the Paypal action in Freeway. I’m not setting up a particular price amount with Paypal. Because it will differ from order, to order ( depending on what they want ). So in the action pallet window I just left it at 0. But when I try to preview it in Safari, or Firefox; Freeway gives me a dialog box saying “Parameter has no value, the following Actions have a parameter that requires a value, the parameter “item_amount” “Paypal” Button”, Page “Contact”". Is there something I can enter for an open, customer filled in amount; that with make it work?
Just trying to get a Paypal “Buy Now” button to work where the customer can input the agreed upon price. That’s it. It’s easy to set up a “Buy Now” button on the Paypal website where the customer can just input the price. I guess there’s no way to input the html Paypal generated for the button… Seems like as long as Freeway, and Paypal have been around; someone would have come up with an action, or workaround for this.

The Action (incorrectly) assumes the value is required to proceed. Despite the warning you can still publish the page and when the button is clicked the user can update the zero value for whatever they want to pay.
To silence the Action from warning you that the value is incorrect each time you publish enter a non-zero value (10 maybe) and then enter 0 (zero) again. Freeway should now keep quiet.
I’ll log a suggestion that the Action get updated.
