I did tha but cannot get html markup unchecked.
In the Page HTML Markup dialog (Page > HTML Markup), use the popup menu to check each possible place that code could be inserted. Places with added code should show as underlined menu items, so it shouldn’t be too hard. Delete all code you find in there.

It works not at all. I think I will try to enter it on the master page, I have only been trying to put it on the index page.
If that doesn,t work, I guess I will trash my index and redo it.
If I am going to do the master page let me review the steps.

Just hold on a minute.
If you do it on your Master before deleting it on the index page you are going to end up with a whole load of duplicated Google code!
Try this
Select everything on your index page and copy it
Create a new page and paste everything over.
Delete the original index page
Rename the new page with the copied content as index.html
Reapply the GA action to the index page and put in ONLY your unique number UA-****** etc.

Good advice. This is a case of not running before you can walk. Yes, it can be sensible to do things on the master page rather than individual pages, but there are some subtle wrinkles that this can add that - I think - you’d be better off not adding to the mix right now.
If you can’t be sure that you’ve eliminated all instances of added code that you introduces earlier in various ways then yep, just make a new page and copy/paste the items across. Simple and quick. Then apply the page action, configure it (i.e. just add the site code) using the Actions palette, and test it out.

Well, I have succeeded in erasing my entire site in Freeway.
Fortunately I am still online.
I have a backup on an external HD but Freeway is also on the External and the bacdkup program does not backup what is on the external HD.
I can dl the pages from the host but cannot figure how to get them into freeway.
Any hope of recovery?

Do you have a backup of the yoursite.freeway document?
This is the important one. It is automatically created by FW itself.
With the Option key held down go to File>Open Backup and navigate to your FW created backup file which will be called something like yoursite.fwbackup

Dave, if you have a backup on an external hard disk, what’s to stop you just copying it back to your machine?

OK, I am back home and have the site back in Freeway. I am still struggling with Google analytics.
I have selected GA in actions and entered the site code but viewing the website, there is no tracking code for google. I have the code but how do I get it into the page BEFORE the body?
