Hi there
I am doing a Website for a church project and would need to link verses in the text to a little window where people can read the actual Bibleverse that the text was referring to.
I found that when I make a special graphic link outside of the actual text, with the reference written in. I can link that graphic link to a PDF file with the Bible verse. This works, but it is a lot of work and I have seen many sites where one can click on a word and on the same page you get to see a little window with more info on that word. Can this be done?
Yes, but you will need to find a source of the annotated text. If you can find a site out there that offers you a way to look up a particular bit of verse and returns the concise result you’re looking for, then I have a script you can use which will create a little popup box with the results.
If you want to create these elements yourself, then you can try the Target Show/Hide Layer Action (if that’s an option in Freeway Express – don’t have it here to check).
But I would invest some time looking for a site that provides a way to get what you need from a search request. My script is modular, so you can plug in any sort of URL you like and send a search request and process the result.
