I want to upload a new design to an existing site with the address www.cranleigh-diving.co.uk. What title should I put into the ‘server’ box?

In the server box
But more important is what you put in the Directory box. Are you replacing the existing site?
If so then the directory setting would be the same as you previously used.
If you want to upload the new site for testing first then create a new folder on your server eg test and then the Directory setting would be something like
/publc_html/test

Yes I am replacing the existing site and I want to put up a ‘dummy’ site to check it over- the problem is that I don’t know what the original setting was and the chap who set the site up has just gone to Spain for a week. Is there any way I can discover the original settings- apart from waiting a week?

Did he do it with FW - doesn’t look like it.
Do you have the FTP access settings username/password etc.
If so then just go in with an FTP app like cyberduck and have a look. If not then you are stuck without them.

No he is an unreconstructed ex MOD PC Techie, so I have to polite to him! Looks as though I will be sensible to wait for his return. Many thanks for the advice
