Extra bold text on screen vs printed

Extra bold type fonts seem to be much bolder on the sceen and appear almost to bold for slide shows but look great when printed. Stone Sans OS ITC TT was the font that I was using; I haven’t tried with other fonts. The difference is noticeable when viewing a slide created in Intaglio compared to slide created in Canvas X in an iPhoto Slide Show.

The same here. My trick is apply a blend screen effect in the text.

Thanks, but

my concern was not with bold or regular type but with non-serif type sets such as helvetica or ariel. I simply don’t read text printed in these, except for headlines. It just is not possible for me to read over one hundred pages of text per day in other than serif type print such as times new roman.

Everyone knows this.

Best,
