It appears to me that the facebook like box action only works for Facebook Business or Non profit type accounts and will not work for an individual Facebook account. Is this correct?
I’m working on a site for an author…when I plug in her Facebook account details into the action, I get an error…
“Could not retrieve the specified page. Please verity correct hfref was passed in”
The action works when using substituting any number of business or non profit facebook accounts.
This is correct. You should create a “Page” for her (note the capital P) and link the Action to it. Without a Page she can’t have people follow/like her without her first accepting them. She also can’t post the same kind of posts that lend themselves well to businesses/products/entities like making announcements, running polls, adding custom pages and so on.
