I use MacHighway and they went down earlier this week for several hours which in my experience is an extremely rare occurrence. The poster is correct about there being very little communication (via Twitter) during the outage. The writing does seem to be on the wall.
Eep. My MUG switched to MacHighway a couple of years ago because their previous provider hadn’t been cutting it. I haven’t heard them complain of any issues though. I know one of the preferred criteria was that the hosts were Macs, but I don’t know if they’ll drop that one. Perhaps if they have to.
On another note, I haven’t looked at MacInTouch for years. I can’t believe they’re still posting everything that’s submitted like that. I scrolled up and saw some discussion about Superman and phone booths.
Interesting, as the MacInTouch reader report made it seem like MacHighway was now owned by another company, but perhaps I read that incorrectly. I think that he was saying that MacHighway was using the same poor data center.
MAchighway posts all the time to their FB page about what is going on. In addition I got a credit for the one day of being down for 24 + hours for both of my servers with them .

Were any of you affected yesterday by the attack aimed at Wordpress installations which apparently caused nearly a days’ worth of lost email service and partially down websites?
