Possibly the easiest and fasted way of creating your favicon has to be to use the online Favicon generator over at html-kit.com
What I’m asking is can one just add a favicon to the master page and show up on all page or will I have to add a favicon on each page on the site.
I added a favicon on my links page and it shows up on Firefox, Safari but not on IE for Macs (IE for mac, who cares). It worked on IE -7 and Firefox for Windoze.

Ok, if the favicon is added to the master when first starting the design then all pages would have it. If you add it later on then you will either have to add it page by page, or reapply the master to each page which could possibly wipe out anything you added to the page directly instead of the master.
