FileZilla vs Cyberduck and upload Freeway

Dear folks,
SInce I started to work from the Philippines I had great difficulty uploading websites to servers in Holland. Freeway is extremely slow or gets stuck all the time. Cyberduck - manual transfer a bit better but still a pain in the neck. I had to give up many times.
Earlier this week I downloaded FileZilla for uploading websites and all connections are smooth and fast. When Freeway gets stuck, FileZilla deletes and uploads as it should be.
Now this is all ‘french’ to me… why would that be the case? What is in Freeway and Cyberduck that seems to hinder a smooth connection sometimes - with certain servers I assume?

Sure I am relieved now, very much, but it is something I would like to find out if this has anything to do with Mac-PC upload changes or whatever. FileZIlla is a multiplatform system that seems to work great. I noticed the difference when I used it on my pc in the Parallels and found the Mac version of it.

Thanks!

Paul

I am sure that you have tried toggling the option Passive FTP mode in Document Setup>Upload - this can often be the answer for errant uploading behaviour. But if you haven’t then give it a go.

Hi, Perhaps this may have something to do with your internet connection as a pose to the hosting… Sometimes wireless internet can not work as well uploading as it does downloading, especially if more than one computer is accessing the same wireless router… Also, I’m guessing you are using broadband…if not then I’d say that would be the route of the problem!

Out of interest who are you using to host your website?

Hope that helps - all the best,

Fergus T
