Flash intro and Freeway

Hi all, I’m very very new to websites and Freeway too, so my question may sound very dumb to you:
I got a SWF animation for my homepage intro; I want to link this animation to a new page created in freeway 5.2.1. I don’t know how to do this, someone can help me??
Thanx a lot!

Try this - untested.

Insert your swf file into a graphic box and apple-K it to apply the link.

If you want to be able to apply a link to a Flash movie, then you have to do two things. First, in Flash (the application) create a transparent button and assign a link to it – any link will do. Place this button where you expect people to click. You can even make it the size of the entire movie stage if you like.

Second, in Freeway, place your Flash movie on the page in the usual way (drag and drop, draw a box and use File > Import to import it, etc.). With this movie selected, choose Item > Actions and pull down to Flash Extras. In the Actions palette, there is an option to editlinks within the movie. (I’m at a @#$*% Dell at the moment, so I can’t recall the exact wording.) Enable it, and then pick the page you want to target. The Action will re-write the Flash movie when it publishes your site, and correct the link to point to your Freeway page.

Hope this helps,

Walter
