flash..

At flashden i bought a map, so i can ( as a quick solution) make a dealer map. i have a swf file, a css file and a xml file. and ofcorse the flashfile!
in the xml and css files, i made my changes ( an expamle ) and i tried to put the swf file into a image box…nothing…!
a html box also did not do the trick. ( yes i did upload the map containing the other files !)

afther making a sort of popup window, where i put a published html file ( import html) it did what i wanted.
Could somebody perhaps explain what im doing wrong? and why i cant import the swf file into a box, so it shows as a movie??
i would be greatfull!!!

the link with the example;
http://www.totalwestern.nl/support.html

its the button on the left with red text or the button on the right saying; voor Depositairs klik hier…
in the file, on the right in the province ‘drenthe’ i put some data…

Sorry… and thanks in advance !

You should be able to just drag the swf file onto the page in
Freeway, or draw any sort of box and import it. (Freeway will
silently convert a graphics box to an HTML box, which is the correct
container for any sort of plug-in content like Flash.) Flash has just
worked in Freeway since it was called ShockWave and was from whatever
company Macromedia bought it from.

Now if the Flash movie needs to access some external files, like this
one does, you will have to check with the author to see where it
expects to find those files. If it is looking in a named folder
somewhere, then you will need to create that folder on the server and
upload the external files into it. If it is looking to have those
files in the same directory as the swf file, then you need to make
sure that you upload them into the Resources folder, not into the
same folder as the HTML files.

There is an Action called Upload Extra Resources from Softpress, and
another called Upload Stuff from FreewayActions.com, and either of
them can do this trick for you. Apply the Action to the same page
that you put the Flash movie on, and then use the Action interface to
locate the extra files and publish them into the correct Resources
folder. Freeway will also track these extra files and upload new
versions if any changes are made locally (say, when you edit the XML
file to add a new dealer).

And it’s me again, i know… a pain…

but i have a question regarding this same map-file.

i got it into the site, and it looks great, but i don’t seem to be able to change the font into a readable one.
it should just be arial or something like that, but now its not nice.
this is the link,
http://www.artofmakeup.nl/map/map.html

i would be very happy, when or iff somebody could help me change the font ( into verdana, arial… i dont care, just as long as i could see it more clear)
i know ( hope) that it’s a css or style problem, iff so; would anybody please explain how i can change it??
thanks in advance!!!

Eugenie

Do you own a copy of Flash? Because I think this is one of those
things you will have to actually change the SWF file in order to
modify this display. It’s not something CSS can help you with – it’s
all part of the Flash movie.
