A very good point about sticking to the font license. That there are actually many more fonts that could be used this way than are listed in the FontSquirrel site. I’ve made some, and I know they’re not listed there. 
But unless you really know this stuff and know the legal position of a particular font, don’t use it - stick to the FontSquirrel list instead. That site does offer some really nice fonts. (And some terrible ones too. Oh well.)
