Here’s some info about getting Freehand 11.0.2 working in 10.6, including a link to Adobe’s official fix.

Thanks for the info Joe, at least my Freehand 11.0.2 copy is now
working, even if it is taking its last final desperate gasps of life.
Illustrator CS3 opens all our old Freehand files from now on. Sad,
end of an era, but there you go.
I would not hold out too much hope of Adobe releasing the code to open
source.

Yeah, really! I don’t think Adobe has ever done that with anything, IIRC. I’m sure they’d say “Illustrator CSX9 has now integrated all the features of Freehand blah blah blah” instead, but then you’d find it didn’t and then they’d say it again with the next version without admitting they said it last time.
Can you tell I’m no big fan of Adobe?
