Freeway 5.6.2 and Showcase 1.1 Released

Mine remain locked too. Even when I open GetInfo and unlock them when they’re opened again, they’re locked.

And, then, when I go to open the existing apps they both crash saying they’re corrupt.

So i had to delete both apps and just drag in the new versions - will this have killed all my other actions that I have installed?

Hi Nathan,

Nope, your Actions should be fine. They’re installed in a different folder. Julie, let me know how you get on with removing the previous versions and reinstalling. Remember, you need to drag the applications from the disk image, into your Applications folder.

Hi Julie,

We’re wondering if the problem is caused by a new Lion feature of auto-locking files that haven’t changed recently. Can you try going to the System Preferences, then to Time Machine, then click on Options and turning off the “Auto-lock files older than…” option, and then try installing Freeway again, please?

Let me know if that helps,

Joe

Yeah figured that Joe. It’s all fine here. The locking is probably a Lion glitch.

Cheers.

I erased both files and reloaded …
Seems to work fine… But odd that it did not ask for my serial # like it has done for past updates like this

I think you mean YAY that it didn’t do that! The boys and girls in Oxford labored long and hard to bring that feature to you, after 14 years of doing it That Other Way.

Thanks for the info Joe - I will watch the space as you suggest.

My download of FW 5.6.2 and installation worked fine btw- but I am still on Mac 10.6.8 mind.

Best wishes Richard

Download them now on our shiny new website (http://www.softpress.com, in case you weren’t sure).

What - No Gallery of sites for us to check out on your shiny new site? I can see that there may be some, mine included, that are not the best advert for SP and need to be culled. But could the good ones be placed somewhere here in Freeway Talk, as a reference for registered users - or something?

We’re showcasing sites that we particularly like on the individual product pages. We’re still thinking about the process for selecting these. As always, we welcome people sharing their sites with other Freeway users, whether it’s on here, Facebook, Twitter, or Google+.

And no support for Ineedwebhosting? Just Fatcow? Shame! Give some support to the home teams. After all it does say “Made in Great Britain” at the bottom

The site is a work in progress, so watch this space.

(And no senior or student discount anymore?)

We are still offering education, non-profit and senior discounts.

Still the site looks good though - well done.

Thanks! And thank you for the feedback.

Joe

Joe,

It’s time you heard from a happy camper that downloaded the latest version without any issues,

Really like the new website too!
