I’d like to see more Actions included, instead of having to root around and find and install them, although it’s useful to have the ability to add them.
For my part I am a professional web designer that has used Freeway for around 4 years as my main web creation tool. I looked at the alternatives (Dreamweaver etc), but have now invested substantial time and have gained experience with Freeway and this works for me.
I just need to know that for the future Freeway continues to evolve so that I can have faith that it will remain a current and leading piece of software. Having spent most of my life in software development I know you cannot lose any hard fought customers through complacency.
If I feel it is getting neglected I would have to consider learning and investing in something else - which I would rather not do.
So, simply, either more frequent updates, or at least carefully targetted news releases that gives confidence Freeway remains a vibrant product.
Don’t worry, even though we haven’t officially said anything, Freeway is on an evolutionary path. It has to be really with the speed that things move in the webosphere!
We can’t really make any announcements about anything just yet, but you Freewaytalkers (and Facebookers/Twitterers) will be the first to know about it when we do.
This doesn’t meant that you shouldn’t talk about things you want to see in future versions of Freeway though. And yes we know you want multiple undos We want them as much as you do!

This sounds smallish, but I’d like to see some ability to add “stickies” on pages as quick reminders of things to do or notes that are relevant. They wouldn’t be published, of course, but they could be of tremendous help in keeping a work flow going smoothly.
Apply the action to a page, press the ‘Edit notes’ button in the
actions palette and start adding your notes.
Regards,
Tim.

That’s a link to Tim’s amazing code repository system. If you look in
the top bar on that page, you’ll see a Download link, which will spit
out a Freeway Action, ready to install and use.

Thanks, Tim. But that looks like looking at code. You’re right. Not
really what I’m after.
You could always create a graphic or HTML text box and “un-tick” the publish button in the inspector palette ~ only you see it it does not get uploaded.

Probably a very minor point for most people, but I wish the
Edit->Actions window would remember its column layouts and disclosure
triangle settings from one open to the next. Also it doesn’t respond
to normal Mac scrolling. You have to drag the scroll bar button.

Wow, over a year later and still nothing? The cost of this software is an investment. When it’s so long in between major versions it makes me think that’s I’m getting my monies worth.
I thought Adobe was bad, but even they release a major version every 18 months.
What’s really good and appreciated is that we got a quick response from Joe and that SP are on the ball. I think we all accept that they can’t for various reasons state when and what things will appear but at least they haven’t gone dead on us.
If anyone has been watching the farce over on the Pixlemator forum or noted the ‘Gone away’ sign from Intaglio.
Anyway; 5.5 which was a reasonably large step-up, is working pretty darn fine at the moment for me and yet still so much more to learn.
I would like to see a version that publishes better when not in the foreground. Also, as I mentioned in a letter to the company, Adobe is planning on coming after programs like Freeway with its stripped down Muse. I say don’t let 'em. Build a mean product with a lot of cool interactive/animation features like they will stick in Edge. Also, time to say goodbye to your Flash product. Adobe has given up on Flash. Jobs won after all, but didn’t live to see it.
I tried Muse yesterday and it is very good, but it will only be available through subscription. It’s also modern and not bloated and Adobe will roll out updates quarterly.
The secretive nature of version 6 isn’t really necessary unless to keep sales from dropping off because people won’t buy version 5 anymore until 6 comes out.
It’s pretty normal and prudent behavior for a software company to hold off on any announcement until they have something ready to ship (or nearly so). Not only would an early announcement have a chilling effect on current sales, it would also signal to the competition (not just Adobe, plenty of other smaller and more agile competitors) where Freeway is headed next. This also raises expectations that the product will be released soon, when the reality of software development has always been that it takes between two and three times as long as you think it will. (This math is recursive – even if you plan a date, and expect to miss it by 2 - 3 times that duration, your actual delivery will be 2 - 3 times that inflated date!)
