Freeway Express 5 & Links to Amazon.com

I’m trying to add links to specific items on Amazon.com to the page I’m building.
Amazon gives you custom links that (as I understand it) are supposed to show a small graphic when the selected text is rolled over and then link you to my Amazon Associates account if you choose to buy the item. When I insert the link given and try it to see if it works I get, at best, no response at all or I get transferred to a page that says the file can’t be found or, at worst, the entire HTML text that I was using for the link is overwritten with the Amazon link text.
I’d be pulling my hair out, if I had any by now. I’m sure that there’s something obvious that I’m missing but I can’t, for the life of me figure out what.
Any help or direction that anyone can give me would be very much appreciated. Thanks, in advance.

Hi Argo313,

If I understand correctly Amazon have given you a snippet of code that
will display a graphic from their servers. To insert this into Freeway
you will need to goto Insert>Markup Item and paste the code into the
dialog. Once you have done this you will need to preview the page to
see the contents.

Regards,

Joe

Joe;
Thank you for your help. That was exactly what I needed to know.
As I suspected the solution to my problem was really simple once it was pointed out and I almost had the solution myself except for one thing.
To anyone else having the same problem, my mistake was that instead of selecting a single insertion point I was highlighting an entire word and every time I tried to insert the given code it just replaced the word with the actual string of code instead of the graphic item.
Ah, well. Live and learn.
Thanks again for your help Joe.
