Freeway Pro Templates

I noticed that Softpress has a few Freeway Pro templates I didn’t know about.

If I create a regualr FWP site and an iPhone version of the site, how is the iPhone version automatically triggered?

Also, what’s this Skeleton CSS Template all about? Has anyone done anything with it that they’d care to show?

That’s cool. So Softpress does have a responsive template, of sorts?

Sadly not. These templates aren’t based on that, or any other, framework. They just happen to share the same name.

Tim.

Hello everyone! This is my first comment in Freewaytalk! Doing research I noticed the need of many people to have a site that has templates to Freeway! The project is very large and serve many hours of work, what do you think? It may be a good idea? Do you have suggestions? Greetings to all !!! Simone: D

Hi Simone - how about, instead of resurrecting very very old threads about templates - you can start a new one of your own?

There are of course Freeway 7 templates for sale in the Softpress marketplace, and free templates (very dated and nearly useless) included with the program. It’s been intimated that at some point there may be a refresh of the default templates, but no indication of the timeline, and no guarantees.

But in general, the reasoning for very few factory templates in the past has been Freeway’s original visual layout approach - ease of use - once you understood how to set up the Master Page and build site pages from those preset structures it was pretty simple.

I will say however, doing dynamically responsive sites (box/inline model) in FW7 isn’t so simple as drag and drop anymore. It’s no longer a visual layout approach as much - so the request for templates is much more in demand I would expect. It’s just way more complicated due to the changing nature of what devices are being used to the view sites, and staying on top of contemporary design trends.

I agree with some other responses in other threads that a user repository of shared templates would be a good thing were such a space ever to be provided. http://www.freewaystyle.com - might be close…
