The trial version looks impressive, but for the 10% (or more?) of us who are left handed, the app is not as useful as some others that are available. If there was an option for the left handed fretboard I’d certainly look at this again, but for the moment I feel disenfranchised!
You can create a left-handed tuning (e2, a2, d3, g3, b3, e4 for standard tuning) and it will work fine for chords - but it won’t work for scale charts (because Fretspace expects scales to start from the left).
Sorry - there are also some issues with chord charts. I will look at this whole issue when I have some time (it shouldn’t be too difficult) but I’m currently focused on the next version of Freeway.
I’ve always assumed that left-handed guitarists read right-handed charts - but I guess that’s partly because left-handed charts and tabs aren’t widely available.
I do appreciate that you are willing to look at this. As I stated, your program looks impressive. I already own “Neck Diagrams”, “Guitar Layers” and “Scale Master” (original and version2). Each offers an option for left handers (with fretboard/scale diagrams and chord charts).
Yes, we can read right-handed charts, but having the option to see the left handed fretboard, scale diagrams and chord diagrams, removes one more step in the “translation” from screen to guitar.
I think your program offers a significant alternative to those I already own (named above), so I shall keep tuned in.
