FTP concurrent connections

I am having troubles uploading my site to our new host. Half the time it kicks out a FTP connection error during upload.

The support at the host said it is probably due to going over the ‘concurrent connection’ limits and I should lower it to between 1-5. I assumed he was talking about on their end, but he said it needed to be done within the program (Freeway).

No clue what he’s referring to and I don’t see any info here on in the manual.

Any ideas?

I think they mean that there are limits on the number of users that
can be logged in under the same name. Maybe the logins aren’t
expiring? Maybe if say the power were shut off suddenly on one of the
logins, the server wouldn’t get a hangup message and would be stuck
with a zombie login for a very long time :sunglasses:

Rebooting the server will always clear these things up, and it’s fast
and painless at Dreamhost.
