FW7 and Sierra

I am now in need of FW7 working within Sierra.

Is this
Desirable
Possible

Are there
Drawbacks

Is it simply a no-no?

My alternative is VMWare Fusion

To create a Virtual Machine with Yosemite, this is something I will be setting-up to enable me to continue to use CS6

Thanks in advance.

Peter

With the latest update to Sierra, Freeway 7 is now working correctly. There is one minor (cosmetic) problem with the file dialogs, but it’s otherwise completely usable.

Fantastic, thanks Walter.

Bout out of interest, do you know what earlier versions of FW will work with Sierra?

Cheers Peter

Sorry, no I do not. I haven’t upgraded here, just going on other list members’ say-so. James Wages, do you have any older copies of Freeway lying around?

I upgraded to Sierra and my iMac started running very hot!

Back to Yosemite and all works much better PS6 included.

James Wages, do you have any older copies of Freeway lying around?

How old do you want Walt? still have original FW3 cd!

Happy New Year all,

I’m using FW7 on Sierra on a MBP without running hot.

AFAICT it works, but I have to upload a site and that the be “The Proof of the [Christmas] Pudding"

I’ll let you know.

Out of interest Yosemite was the last version of macOS that CS6 and PS6 would work reliably.

I have had to install VMWare and create a Yosemite VM just to run CS6, it does all I need and I don’t need to go to Adobe’s subscription model.

Cheers Peter
