But i will genuinely ask for more tutorial information from Softpress on Inline/Boxmodel design. There is still considerable debate on the forum on this subject…
I am a mere novice to web design but trying to get to grips with the whole challenge of inline/box model design and i do recognise it’s value… but when it comes to implementing Inline with action’s like Carousel and CSS Menus i am left wondering if i really understand what is happening !!!
lol…I would think they would ask the question of what tutorials people
want to see here in Freewaytalk. I only saw it because now I check their
page because they drop hints of things coming like Exibeo.

It’s much more than just BoxModel - but agree - Softpress could do it much better and for free - me not (but I have on plus another purpose in mind).
I started this a couple of weeks ago - but with Softpress attempt, everything changes. It’s not a screencast it’s a complete tutorial on how I am used to use Freeway within my projects. Some of them are free, some not.
What I do not tackle is specific Softpress action stuff cause I usually do not use them regular or if, they will be anyway exclusively free.
But with this message - I have to revue my strategy - and probably kick days of work into garbage can, but such is life hargnn.
Battling away with poor documentation at the moment and would so love to see good step by step tutorials, clear instruction or video. It would have saved me much time and heartache. To the point of ‘giving up’.
As someone more visual it really helps when you can actually see ‘take this block of code and paste it into here’ approach. For coders many things will be obvious but for the less so please take away the second guessing.
i’m working with freeway (pro) since the beginning and no: it is not simple, not at all for non-coders - above all, if you wish to be “uptodate”. thats not necessarely the debt of softpress, the growing complexity of web-techniques (css, animation, html5, javascript, rpl, cms, seo, responsive design, box-model etc) and freeways tools become more and more difficult to understand. furthermore, you can achieve the same effect with different tools/menues or actions and one missing click can destroy the whole artwork.
i think, softpress is doing good spending some money and time in tutorials, clear instructions or videos to make things clear which the software couldn’t explain itself. without the famous support of the community and softpress you’re lost in the world of code-snippets, inserts, divs and classes …

I had purchased Dan’s WebYep tutorial series and that was great because he created an entire site as part of the demonstration. So, you got web design, box model, and WebYep instruction all in one.
And, Dan is VERY meticulous, which is great because he doesn’t skip anything and leaves nothing hanging or misunderstood.
I’ve been chosen subscription cause if you have once the trick out, a screencast isn’t worth anything. But I plan to make even downloads available for Premium Subscribers.
So why crying - all is there.
And yes Joe - there is plenty of room available. But FreewayTalkers prefer it free.
I’ve seen some of Thomas’ screencasts and they are detailed and thorough.
His english is not a problem at all, in fact I bet most will find his
accent endearing.
And it’s Box Model… need I say more? If you are struggling with inline
construction, you must give his material a view. This will only encourage
more effort to create materials the community can use

Hi Bob and all the gang,
the only difference between me and Dan is, that english is his and yours
native language (mine not).
Doing screencasts is time-consuming and you need an idea on how to present
them.
Dan’s casts had been 5 bucks each - mine (if you want) 0.79€ for a single
day to find out if it is worth.
Dan’s BoxModel had been way too complicated - but in fact political
correct.
Dan is the past - not worth to further discuss. We know what we had,
that’s all.
Within the BoxModelContest which is the projects name, there will be
plenty of “Free Stuff” - Dan had a handful of them.
I try to support ActionsForge Next with all the collected money (Pass
Through to keep the Freeway wording).
So all that are interested in learning how to BoxModel:
Subscribe and enjoy (3 hours are currently available) - a lot of stuff
will follow:
