Hi Sue

Looks like you have already used Showcase to produce your slide show gallery.
Does the ‘grid’ system available from within Showcase not meet your needs.

Is this what you wanted to create http://www.ichicken.syn-apps.co.uk/gallery.html Just a simple gallery list of thumbnails that show larger when clicked.

Hi Sue.
Just wanted to say im not ignoring you, just can’t help you any further with this.

The gallery you link to looks cool, though the animated effect uses a jQuery library, which you could have issues with if you are using other freeway actions on the same page. There are no-doubt some third party galleries you could use, but i’m not sure.

It is probably possible to achieve this in Freeway - but it’s beyond me. Hopefully if the the new ActionsForge gets the backing Walter is looking for, we could see even more cool actions rolling out for us Freeway Users.

Have a lovely day.

Gunner,

That is created using Showcase (which should have come packaged with Freeway).

Hi there Gunner.

As Caleb rightly says, i made that gallery using the great Showcase App that comes bundled with Freeway.

Simple to use and a very professional result.

Regards Al.

Sue

You could take a look at Slideshow Pro http://slideshowpro.net. I used it on a Freeway site a few years ago – westchesterstriders.org – and it can do some nice things. Haven’t used it much since, but it did require some flash when I did do it (and I knew no flash when I created it.) There are some references to it on Freeway Talk if you do a search.

Hey you all, thanks for your continuing help. I have a slightly different requirement for a slide show. As a newbie in THIS world I want to setup a grid on an iPhone screen in which each thumbnail, when clicked, opens a slide show covering the screen without thumbnails to click for forward, etc.

Each thumbnail on the “gallery” page represents a different topic or subject, which is unique. So each thumbnail when selected or clicked will open up a totally new slide show sans thumbnails.

Here is my blank template, in case it helps;

Would the answer be ScriptyLightbox2? Where might a tutorial be for this one?

No as SL2 links to individual images/pages so can’t do it on its own.

However you could use it to link to an individual page that had a slideshow on it for example using Background Supersizer (if that is the one that can display images sequentially)?

But my concern would be to get this working correctly on all devices - or do you want an iPhone specific page. Especially for someone that is pretty much a code newb.

But there are a few possibilities if you are prepared to get out and push.

Take a look at the Apollo mini gallery template;
http://www.freewaystyle.com/apollo-mini-gallery-template

It ships with a Lightbox 2 Action that I created specifically for the template which allows you to add up to ten images behind each thumbnail and display the larger images in a linked lightbox view.

Tim.

Yes Tim, It would be for an iPhone only kind of thing. I have done html coding, but that was back in the good old days of html 3.2, if that is ones idea of the good old days that it.
