Getting to your Library folder

Just saw this tip as an aside within an article on TidBITS.com – easy shortcut to get to your Library in Lion or Mountain Lion (say, when you need to tinker with your installed Actions, maybe):

In Finder, hold down the Option key and open the Go menu. Library will appear as an option within the list of targets in the top part of the menu. This is the same as pressing Shift-Command-G, then typing ~/Library in the “jump” dialog.

You can also drag the Library folder to the Finder sidebar for even quicker access.

I did that long ago with my Actions folder, for even faster access! Sometimes, though, it’s not all about the Actions. Not lately, mind you…

To make user Library visible in Lion or Mountain Lion go to terminal and type: chflags nohidden ~/Library

To hide it again type: chflags hidden ~/Library
