Google and Underscores

I stopped using underscores a long time ago but I saw an article from
'07 http://news.cnet.com/8301-10784_3-9748779-7.html that states
Google now treats underscores as as word separators. Lots of
conflicting opinions about this so I’m still not sure what the
definitive answer is. Anyone know for certain?

He knew for certain on 6-th of march 2009.

But indeed, still very conflicting opinions around.

Hey, thanks atelier. Looks like I’ll be sticking with hyphens for the
time being.
