That’s sort of what IE6 does to sites isn’t it although not in such a
visual way!

What goes around, comes around - there was a similar trick on PC’s
when Macs where only a twinkle in Jobs’ eye. Used to give office
colleagues a real dose of brown trousers when you sneaked it onto
their workstation. Not that I’d do that, of course.

That effect needs a bitmapped display, and PCs were still character
displays till a while after the Mac was out. You could do it on very
expensive systems with graphics displays. Apollo for example.
