… and that’s exactly the behaviour it exhibits. The site wasn’t made with Freeway, it was RapidWeaver, but I didn’t think there’d be that much difference in the Google map behaviour, unless it’s something to do with the way it was inserted. Try the link and tell me if that’s the behaviour you’re looking for? I doubt that I’ll be able to help you do it in Freeway, but I’m sure someone else here will.
Draw a Google Maps iPhone Link Action inside the Map Marker item
In the Action palette, with the Google Maps iPhone Link Action selected, select Directions and add your text for the link, the starting address and the ending address
Note, the only downside to doing this is that the link will always open in the same window. You could just manually add a link into the item too, just do your directions search on http://maps.google.com and copy the link from the top right.

When you lick on the map it does not go anywhere. If you click on the small word google it does.
I would like someone to be able to click on the map or marker and take you to a google direction page.
Is this possible?

he would love to have it that you click on it (or a link below) to go to a google direction page. like on some sites.
is that possible and how?
I think that is the default behaviour of Google maps, so all you should need to do is use the action as is.
also the HTML box - is that ontop of the GMA or next to it?
Thank you Joe

Hi Julie,
Try this:
Check Create Marker in the Google Maps Action
Draw a layer HTML item on the page
Apply the Google Maps Marker Action to this item

The item from step 2. The Marker Action can be anywhere on the page.

I tried to add a link to the html w gmma on it - and it did not work.
is there a way of making the marker “bubble” smaller?
Thank you!

Which link do I choose? Also, how do I add that link to the google map? when I link the page and click it does not go anywhere.

Hello guys! I hope everyone is ok.
I have a question on this:
Is it possible to have more than one link on the Google Map action (the same map)?
What I mean is that if I have a list of different addresses next to Google Map when you click it can Google Map indicate every place?
I don’t think you can add more than one marker using the Freeway Actions for Maps. It’s certainly programmatically possible, you see these sorts of maps all the time. How comfortable are you with hand-coding JavaScript?

Well, to tell you the truth I am still not comfortable at all with hand-coding. It’s sure a goal I want to reach but lately I’ve been very busy to study and practice… If I cannot use more than one marker per Freeway Action Map could I use more than one map per page or get it linked to different page?
