Morning all … here’s my first post of the day … aren’t you lucky. I have added the post code into google maps action and it shows the wrong location, I have copied and pasted the same code into google maps (the freestanding version) and it’s accurate ! … any ideas please. (I would try Walter’s more accurate thing but the site’s down at the moment) Many thanks Roger

I looked into this previously and this is something to do with the
Google provided geocoder (which converts the post/zip code into lat/
long values). Try adding the full address, not just the postcode to
see if that helps. If not, view the link of the postcode from http://www.maps.google.com
(there’s a button at the top right of the map) and extract the
corrrect lat/long from that.

Thanks Joe, putting in the address did the trick, odd though that the geocoder is not the same as the one in the regular ‘Google maps’ - good of you to take the time … Roger
