Graphic text opacity

I have a graphic box with a photo inside, I then sketch another graphic inside for my type. I would like the type transparent - but there is nowhere for this setting. Only for the background opacity - am I correct in thinking that only imported images or solid graphic boxes can have opacity changed within FW itself?

That isn’t necessary. Just click on your graphic item to get the text cursor and type away.
