I drew a graphic box, inserted a photo, but when I try to move the box at all, it moves far to the left and does not let me move it back. It also seems to be locking along a horizontal plane…essentially sliding along a horizontal plane but not moving far enough right as I need to to and not letting me “detach” it from this mysterious horizontal “line.”
Instead of drawing a graphic box and importing the photo - drag the photo from the finder onto your page. The box will be created for you and you should have no problem moving it.
I suspect what you are doing is drawing a graphic item on top of an HTML item and then importing. The graphic item becomes a child of the HTML item and is constrained within its bounds. Press the space bar while dragging the graphic to get it outside the container.
