This is probably a well trodden old question, so I apologise in advance, but how does one set the grid so it equally covers a piece of A4 paper? I’ve never been able to work this out. Can a seasoned Intaglio professional explain how to do this properly, so I get consistent results?
I did try it, Tom, but page margins weren’t turned on. For some reason, when Page Margins are off, an A4 page isn’t 210 x 297mm—it’s smaller. I’d not noticed this before.
For A4, this is the closest I can get:
Turn Page Margins on.
In Custom Paper Sizes, make the margins 0.33cm all round.
The grid fills the A4 page, but the bottom row of the grid is cropped by the margin.
With Page Margins turned on, the grid fits Super B A3 and Tabloid exactly.
