Hi, I have a site on have-host.com but it has completely disappeared and www.have-host.com just redirects to godaddy.com saying:
‘NOTICE: This domain name expired on 04/10/2014 and is pending renewal or deletion.’
Of course any support emails are just bouncing back as well.
I know James, the have-host guy used to be on these forums a while ago, just wondering if anyone else has a similar problem or knows anything about this, or did I miss a big announcement about have-host closing down?
Works for me. Unfortunately I’m not yet of an age where I would find the details relevant but when I am I’ll be sure to check back!
All the best,
David

yes a DNS issue is my guess as well. Neither sites are working for me still and an email to have-host.com also bounces. Maybe there has been a slight delay in name renewal and it is taking time to propagate.
I’m in London, my Dad in Liverpool and for Mike in Spain it is not working but for others it is working. Hopefully it will be ok by the morning.

For what it’s worth I’ve been seeing some of my Have-Hosted email accounts having connection problems this evening. A few are up again but two are still currently failing to connect. May be an ongoing server maintenance issue. It’s happened before.
It seems universe.have-host.com has become unreachable, my various email
accounts that default to domains such as lanius.org.uk or oxmug.org are
valid on the server are fine, but some of mine for SSL reasons that call
on universe.have-host.com fail because it has become
unreachable/unregistered.
Looks like James has forgotten to re-register ???

This is very annoying, yet again for this to fail …
I have just changed one of my email accounts to not use SSL, now using mail.pgt7.com and I’m getting the waiting messages come through.

All working again this morning. I’m not sure why this downtime happens but I have a feeling it is to do with the servers for Have-Host which are in Orlando, not Canada where James is. If I’m correct the umbrella company is HostDime. A very quick trawl of the web suggests HostDime are not a particularly reliable hosting company from the uptime POV.
For your future reference, I find the best way to contact James regarding any Have-Host issues is via his support page, https://havehost.zendesk.com . He almost always responds quickly to requests there.
