Help with putting video reels on websites

Hi!

I am very new to website creation and I am a film student who needs to be able to display the work I have done so far online. I also want to open my website with a movie clip. How do I do this - firstly do I need to process my clips in flash, because I don’t have flash. And secondly - how do I place them on my webpage. Total total novice and struggling student!! Would totally appreciate the help!!

For our website (60SecondMarketer.com) we use a third-party streaming video company called VidegoPro.

A simpler solution would be to convert your files to QuickTime, which is available on the Apple website.

An upgraded version of QuickTime called QuickTimePro offers limited editing capabilities, if, for example, you wanted to create one 60-second file with multiple examples of your footage.

Hi Struggling Student.

What format are your movies in at the moment? Have you edited them with iMovie or something else? At any rate, you save it as a quicktime file.

Then, seriously, you open a html box and insert your media - whether it’s an mp3 song or a quicktime video.

I was testing this on a site called www.starzstuff.com. It’s about 4 minutes so it takes a little while to load.

If you just have the DV tape, you can run it back through your camcorder and import it into iMovie and save it as a quicktime movie that way.

You can do this with iWeb as well.
