Hide Slaves action for slaves set to Toggle?

I’ve noticed that the Hide Slaves action doesn’t work for slave layers set to “Restore: Toggle”. Does anyone know why this is, and if there’s a way around it? It’s giving me a major headache!

I’ve posted a sample page here:

Thanks!

I’m having this same problem as well.

Here is the link: http://www.onrampwebdesign.com/sites/blog2/

This is the effect I’m after:

  1. When a visitor clicks on one of the buttons in the sidebar the content will appear in the sidebar. Let’s just use the “Information” button.
  2. Then, when the visitor clicks on the “shadow” button, the information content fades out and the shadow box fades in.
That’s all easy enough, but here comes the tricky part:
  3. To dismiss the shadow box, the visitor clicks again on the shadow button and it fades away, leaving the sidebar empty.

Basically, I’m trying to get a mix of the “toggle” and “sticky” options. If I set the actions to toggle, they content boxes stack on top of each other and the bottom ones stay on the bottom, meaning that you’d have to toggle each off before you’d toggle another one on. If I set it to sticky, you can’t dismiss them.

Then, I had a lightbulb moment! Why not make each layer a different target group, set them to toggle, and apply the hide layers action to the buttons, which would hide all but the corresponding content box. However, it doesn’t work!

Does anybody have an idea for a workaround?
