Horizontal Scroll Photo Site

A client photographer wants his site rebuilt with a horizontal scroll which will work on all devices.

(Not convinced this is how a good photography site should be but ……….)
We also need the facility to add and remove any image himself.
At present he does this using the Photo Player skin in Jalbum. This does not transfer to well to iOS.

I am looking at other CMS systems - I have already built some sites with Webyep - but maybe there are better ones for this project ?

The example he likes is

Which appears to use jscrollpane http://jscrollpane.kelvinluck.com

Is this feasible in Freeway ?- together with a CMS ?

Any advice welcome. Best wishes Richard

Don’t know if that’s possible in Freeway, but that photographer is extremely talented.

Well I got there ! Should say Tim Plumb got me there as it was only with his talent, expertise and patient help that I did.

The page is editable via Pulsepro, and makes use of jsscrollpane. There are still many things to be done design wise but it is up and working and the client is happy.

Thanks Tim - Richard

Hi,

I would be interested in hearing more on this

This is one of my very first websites that needs updating, sort of similar: http://www.carywelling.co.uk/

I could possibly create pulse pro thumbs in a single line, mmm, you’ve got me thinking…

The new ‘maverik’ scrolls make a difference.

Hi Seoras

I think it best if you approach Tim for more info since he did so much work on this for me. My pitiful reward would not have bought a meal out for two I am ashamed to say. I suggested he made it into an action or a Freeway style resource - even if he does not charge for one of these he will at least get the kudos. Yes Tim ?

Best wishes Richard

I’ll dig out the amended gallery files, clean them up and get in touch with Seoras.
Thanks,
Tim.

Hi Tim and Richard,

Many thanks. It was out of curiosity really and that it brought to mind my above site, that I hadn’t looked at for a while.

I’m always keen to see how others have presented photography on their websites. Plus it utilises Pulse the cms that I can mostly get my head around:) so that’s a bonus.

I would appreciate that Tim if you have a moment sometime but really no hurry, plenty other things to be getting on with - both.
