Does anyone know if there’s there such a thing as a free hosting service where I can upload a Freeway web site? My current ISP supplies web space, but it’s expensive and the pathetic speed in my rural location is unlikely to improve, so I may as well look for the cheapest supplier. Until I find an alternative, I’m looking for a simple, no-frills service that works as well as Pixcentral, which I occasionally use for bitmaps.
I just want to be able to select the site folder in the Finder, press the Upload button and be able to access the site immediately. At the moment, you have to negotiate obscure directory names, settings and errors—meat and drink to IT pros, but a pain if all you want to do is transfer a few files occasionally.
Any recommendations?
