How a Web Design Goes Straight to

You are no longer a web designer. You are now a mouse cursor inside a graphics program which the client can control by speaking, emailing, and instant messaging.

That’s hilarious if that’s real!

I can think of maybe 1 or 2 people in my freelance business who were that way. I once had a guy send me like 50+ Powerpoints to make edits and changes to only to find out either they weren’t his or one’s he got started on for fake events that didn’t exist. Probably trying to sell them on the side.

Do your homework on your clients before you agree to do anything or else you’ll run into clowns like this guy.

Hard to say if it’s real or not, it’s David Thorne, the guy who tried to pay a bill with a drawing of a spider:

Here’s Simons site (and post) quite openly talking about it though:

You do wonder how much of this is real …but, as good timing I get this in this morning from a print quote I sent out yesterday

“Can I pay you 50%. In return, I will place adverts of your business on the leaflet. The leaflets are to be given out to people in a ball tomorrow. Potentially, There will be much more business for you in the near future, both from me and the people who see the adverts.”

:stuck_out_tongue: That is good timing. It does make you wonder doesn’t it, do you think when they go to the dentist they ask for a reduction and say “I’ll smile at everyone I see and give them your card.”
