How do you get rid of that 'orrible indent before bullet?

Sorry, I know this has been covered before etc…

I want the bullets at the same distance in, as the non-list text - not tabbed in.

There is a setting in the List Style picker for non-indented bullets,
I think. Or, you can set the padding on the UL to 0. Create a new
style with ‘ul’ in the Tag field, and nothing in the Name field. In
that style, click on Extended, then New, then enter ‘padding-left’ in
the Name field and ‘0’ in the Value field. Okay, Okay, and preview in
a browser. You should see your bulleted lists all creep out to the
left. If that doesn’t do it, then also add a rule for ‘li’ with
margin-left set to 0.

Open the list style and in the Extended window and add this:

Name: padding-left
Value: 0

That should do it.

That’s much better guys thank you, but is it possible to achieve the bullet ranging with the text rather than all the text ranging and the bullets sitting ‘outside’ to the left - you know Quark style. I think it would look much neater. Picky I know, but neater.

Not sure what you’re referring to.

Ah, now I know what you mean. Is this what you want?

Yes, only on your example they don’t align on the PC I’m (temporarily) viewing it on, the bullets are indented as usual - are they supposed to? But that’s what I’m trying to achieve. Everything ranges left and only bulleted text is indented, not the bullets themselves.

Hmmm. I didn’t check it on a PC but I’m not surprised it doesn’t
render correctly. If you look at in Safari that’s the intended
appearance. In any case if you add this to the list style it’ll work.
See my example page again.

Name: margin-left
Value: 0

Yep cheers Todd. In Safari they look just right on your version. I’ve tried margin-left Value 0 which only me gave me my indented bullets again, padding-left and Value 0 produces all text ranging left with bullets sitting ‘outside’ the text in a ‘column’ of its own. Do you need to see an example?

Cheers for the help btw.
