How do you import graphics into tables?

I am able to paste a background image into the background of a table with many cells and rows; having that one image cross the cell structure and maintaining the ablility to edit each cell independently in dreamweaver. wondering if this is possible in freeway?

if not wondering how one gets around the dissappearance of images in tables when overlaid with another table?

Well, yes. Not necessarily in exactly the way you’re working, but I
have a question first of all: what are you using your tables for? If
it is as a general method for holding things in place in a layout,
the first thing to do is do it differently. Hand-made table objects
are normally very poor things for layout structures!

Yes by creating a CSS style with your background image, apply this
style to each cell you need.

If you’re in Freeway pro 5, try using a style

Create a table with your cells.

  1. Open the style palette…

  2. Create a new style - call it cellimage

  3. From the character section, select > background image > search
for the image > select tiling options etc.

  4. Save the style (it will be named .cellimage it the styles palette)

  5. Click inside the table cell > click on the styles palette

.cellimage > publish to view the results

thanks David and Keith for your insight! I will address Keith as he seems to have more in line with express.

So I have an image that needs to be overlaid with three items; scrollable links, another pict and text. the background image needs to be single; not tiled. parts of the bg image must remain visible.

I have noticed that disabling the page scroll allows the rest to scroll which is nice for simple text links in a table. so I have had luck in dw with nested tables with bg images; but i think not in freeway.

if there is a way in freeway express to proceed that would be helpful.

thanks so much for your imput so far!
