How to copy entire site

How do I create a duplicate copy of my entire site (including my hard-fought php contact form)?

I want to make some changes to the site but want to retain the original in case my revised version does not work out.

Duplicate the FW file in the finder anc call it 1.1… I do this after every major change 1.2, 1.3 etc.

Well…this kinda worked, but I still have a problem.

The files within the Freeway folder I copied are still named with the old file name. I cannot figure out how to rename the whole set of files so I don’t confuse them with the old files.

Can anyone revisit this question? I need to truly rename the file so i don;t confuse it with the old file. I did copy the folder and rename it, but all of the contents still carry over the old folder names.

Thanks.

Go to Document Setup under the File menu and edit the Site Folder path to your renamed duplicate folder.

If I just duplicate the main folder, then rename the new folder as well as the FW document - it only looks inside it’s own folder for resources and the site folder. So no overwriting of old files etc. I do this 2 or 3 times a month with email templates and it works fine.
