(I wonder if this could be considered a feature request then? Auto sense native Graphic Type, so it doesn’t have to be adjusted each time a new image is drag/dropped or imported…)
Just because something’s a JPEG or a PNG doesn’t mean it is optimised for the web. If Freeway made those assumptions people would hit all kinds of problems!
But if you want to get this general behaviour then import as pass-through (an option in the Import dialog) and it will be passed straight through to the output. You’ll give up the ability to crop, scale and so on, so there are downs as well as ups to this approach.
