how to get Freeway to upload photos, from photo not iPhoto

This is might a stupid question for many, but I have not updated my site for years, so thought I should do. Have managed to transfer it from my old iMac to my MacBook. But when I try to add photos I cannot - the only insert option is the old iPhoto… how do I change this to new not so new photo???

Hei Marit!

I am not familiar with how Freeway interacts with (the old) iPhoto app
of (the new) Photos app (I do not use those applications). However, when
I look at your Web site (which I suppose is http://www.borzoi.no), I
notice that the Web page informs us that it was made with Freeway 5 Pro
and that it was updated in 2012. However, the Photos app was released in
2014. So if you except Freeway to work with Photos, you should upgrade
to a version of Freeway 5 that was released after the Photos app was
released. The lates version of Freeway Pro is Freeway Pro version 7.1.4
and the cost of the upgrade is low, see:

Takk Leif for svar, jeg har oppdatert til siste versjon, men eneste opplatnings mulighet jeg får når jeg skal sette inn bilder, er det gamle iphoto…

Siden min er som sagt ikke oppdatert på lenge, og tenke jeg skulle gjøre det, men det ene problemet - dreper det andre :frowning:

Jeg har også prøvd å starte på nytt, hjelper ikke det heller…

Men, takker og bukker for svar

Hei Marit

Good to know you already updated to Freeway’s latest version. I now
see that Softpress has a support article where they state: [1]

]] We want to make you aware that if you upgrade your iPhoto library to
Photos you will no longer be able to select your images from the Media
section of the Open dialog in Freeway and Showcase, nor will you see
your iPhoto or Photos libraries in the Media selection area at the top
right of the window in Showcase.

Exhibeo - our companion gallery-creation application for Freeway and
successor to Showcase—displays your Photos image library if you click
on “Photos” under the “Media” heading in the sidebar of a new
Finder window.[[

[1]

So it seems you need to get Exhibeo, if you want Photos and Freeway to
“meet“.

Well, it seem that is what I am left with, to import my photos. This is like going back to the “stone age”. Have no opportunity to decide myself how I want to expose my photos. They just have a few collages, set ups and that is not what I want.

Did download a trial version, not a happy camper…

So, think I will look out for other website builders - where they offer a simple way to import photos.

You could use the Export option in Photos.

Choose a location where you want to export the photos, and then import them from there into Freeway.

That worked  Just tried with one photo, but guess it will work with multiple photos too. Not the easiest way to import, but better than the Exhibeho option for single photos… Thanks !

Marit

Now I have to figure out if the actions I have will be there, now on this Mac - of if I can consider all those as gone … (any idea?)
