How to Link Disqus Visitor Comment in FP6?

Hello,

I am trying to install visitor comments in Freeway Pro 6 with no success.

I selected Universal Code from the Disqus install instructions which gives me java script.

Where and how do I use the java script?

I have tried copying and pasting it into the box I created with Actions>Visitor Comments with no success.

Thanks,
Drew Harty

why not take advantage of the comments-action which is in fact “Disqus”?

Cheers

That saves some precious time you could spend finding out how to integrate Facebook like and share buttons …

I am having the same issue as Drew. Somebody please help!! I signed up with Disqus, went through all the steps, ‘added’ my webpage, etc.

When I use the Comment Action, I input my shortname where specified and all I get is a disqus notice that there is a problem.

When I use the Univ. Code as an HTML Markup and preview all that shows up is a link to Disqus.

What is needed here is a very simple step by step tutorial.

Help would be most appreciated!!

I’m not sure if this is your problem, but Disqus cannot be previewed locally. If that’s what you’re seeing then it’s expected. You signed up with a specific URL, you will have to upload your site to that URL and view it there – in public, from that server – before you will see the comments.

Thank you, Walt. I’ve been wracking my brain for HOURS trying to get this damn Disqus thing to work. Good to finally know that I won’t see on preview. Woulda been nice if this had been mentioned somewhere previously, like maybe on the Disqus site.
