How to "stretch" background vertically

My background color (actually a gradient) stretches horizontally depending upon the size of the browser window, but I cannot get it to stretch vertically.

In other words, the background color (dark gray) stops just below the working page of my site and the rest of the browser window below it goes white, which i don’t want to happen since it is such a stark contrast to the rest of the dark colors on the site.

Is there a way to fill this area in with a gray or “stretch” the background vertically so I do not get this white area?

Thanks.

What you’d have to do is either make a new graphic (in another program) that fills the tallest of all screens. I’ve seen one’s have a height of 2560px. However, you can also do so by making a new gradient right in FW and exporting it out.

A tutorial is found here on both Pro and Express versions:

Express: http://home.comcast.net/~fwtuts/gradientbg_express

Or what you could do is just figure out what the Page Background color should be and that should cover the entire viewable space underneath your background image. You can adjust that via the Inspector, choosing the little paint brush icon, and then choosing your Background options in there. The Background color will tile all over the page so once you figure that out you wouldn’t have to redo a gradient graphic. If I remember correctly you had a darker charcoal like background on your site and you could then figure out that color and then put that as your background color.
